The KJL Group. Managing the Coronavirus Outbreak (COVID-19) – Updated: 23rd March 2020
We want to reassure all of our clients that we have put in place a robust business contingency plan to ensure that we continue to provide a seamless support service to all end-users during these uncertain times.
From midnight on 23rd March 2020, our offices will be closed to our staff under Government guidelines. Based on household containment I have deemed it unnecessary to put the wellbeing of our staff at risk. All KJL staff including admin teams are now working from home with full access to all systems. Overall the way we currently manage a majority of support cases will remain unchanged via our client-dedicated support portal, telephone and email.
We have advised all of our staff to closely monitor their own personal situation and to advise us if they present with any symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with symptoms. All staff have been provided with access to hand sanitisers and reminders to maintain the high standards of cleanliness from within their respective homes especially if they do need to venture out.
Engineers will only attend client sites if absolutely essential and will need to be via director approval only. This will be for tasks that we are unable to complete via remote connection or over the phone. If attending site is deemed an absolute essential, our team has been briefed on limiting contact and where possible latex gloves will be worn and safely disposed of on completion of the respective task(s). Regular hand washing will also be observed.
Any projects currently in progress that require site visits and client contact have been suspended until further notice (and based on updates from the Government). Any new, pending projects, will also be suspended until further notice. This also extends to non-essential user move requests.
Client and staff welfare and the continuation of first-class support services remain our primary goal and we are working hard to continue to provide this in these challenging times.
We are closely monitoring the advice provided by the Government on the Coronavirus outbreak and ensuring that our working practices closely follow this advice. We will be providing further updates via our client support portal as and when the situation changes. Updates will also be posted to this page.
