• Our Free IT Equipment For Schools Campaign Heads To Bournes Green

Following on from our first gift of a 65” interactive display screen to St Edwards C of E School in Romford, which is being used every day by teachers and students alike, our Free IT Equipment For Schools Campaign continues, this time Bournes Green Infant & Junior Schools were the lucky recipients.

As mentioned in our previous blog, we have been working with one of our principal clients, Steven Eagell Toyota, to raise money to donate IT equipment to schools in the local community.

Steven Eagell Toyota needed to upgrade a large amount of IT and reprographics equipment. Rather than simply recycling the old equipment; we took the time to refurbish and sell it and then used 100% of the funds to purchase new equipment to donate to local schools.

Bournes Green Infant & Junior Schools in Thorpe Bay were the second recipients, and like St Edwards C of E, they too chose a shiny new Clevertouch 65” interactive display.

Executive Headteacher, Lynn Conney, said, “we are delighted to have been able to be part of KJL Group & Steven Eagell Toyota’s free IT equipment for schools’ campaign. We feel extremely fortunate that KJL have provided us with this device that will support many of the children across the school. We have had a high level of support from KJL in the set-up of the screen and their introduction to the number of ways in which we can use the screen across the school. The Clevertouch screen will transform one of our learning spaces and we cannot wait to get using it.”

KJL Group Director, Alex Cook, who has been driving the project forward said, “it’s great to be in a position to help local schools, we know how beneficial new technology such as a Clevertouch screen is to both teachers and students. I would like to thank Steven Eagell Toyota, as, without their mutual support, we would not have been able to run this programme, of which at least three more schools are yet to benefit in the coming weeks. We would also like to thank the team at Clevertouch for supporting this campaign by giving us a discount on their 65” interactive display screen, which will no doubt benefit everyone at Bournes Green Infant & Junior Schools.”
